NAPLES —Engel & Völkers Florida named hotel and real estate executive Sean Schiefler senior vice president of business development.
Schiefler is responsible for increasing Engel & Völkers Florida's market share, according to a statement. That includes “opening new shops, merging and acquiring competitors' offices and other methods that ultimately will raise brand awareness and increase profitability to existing offices,” the release adds. Schiefler will be based in the firm's Naples office.
Schiefler comes to Engel & Völkers Florida from Realogy Holdings Corp., where he built the Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate division along with Meredith Publishing, the release states. Prior to that, Schiefler was with Wyndham Hotel Group, where he focused on site-selection for new hotel construction and rebranding and renovation of older hotels.
Schiefler made the move to Engel & Völkers Florida after attending the company's annual Leadership Summit, according to the statement. “I was immediately impressed with the culture, level of expertise, and most importantly, the exciting potential with this relatively new brand in the U.S.,” says Schiefler in the release.
