A Manatee County-based off-price clothing retailer with nearly $1.2 billion in annual sales recently moved locations of one of its Bradenton stores. Bealls has opened its newly relocated store in the Creekwood Crossing shopping center. It is now at 7381 52nd Place E. Previously, the business was in the same shopping center at 7379 52nd Place E.

The new space is about 46,000 square feet, according to Bealls spokesperson Suzanne Santangelo, who says the former location was nearly double the size.

“This was really an opportunity to reinvest in our hometown market and to remain in a familiar location that guests know,” Santangelo says in an email. “We were able to stay in Creekwood Crossing while moving into a space that better supports today’s shopping experience.”

With a new floor plan comes an opportunity for “enhanced displays and wayfinding,” Santangelo says, “making it easier for guests to find the premium brands and assortment of styles they’re shopping for.”

In addition, Bealls is now located next to HomeCentric, a furniture and home decor retailer under the Bealls banner in the Creekwood Crossing shopping center.

The previous Bealls location closed Oct. 22, and the new store in Bradenton opened Oct. 23.

Bealls also celebrated its entry recently into the Michigan market with the opening of two stores — in Charlotte and Owosso — making it the 23rd state where the brand has a presence. The company plans to open 25 new stores across a dozen states this fall and in spring 2027, according to Santangelo.

“As we open more stores, we need more great product to fill them,” Santangelo says. “That’s why we’re also growing our buying teams in New York and Los Angeles, putting our buyers closer to vendors, brands and merchandise opportunities. Being where the product is gives us better access to brand names and best buys, which ultimately means better merchandise, better deals and more value for our guests.”

Bradenton-based Bealls has been family-owned since 1915 and operates more than 650 stores across 23 states under the names Bealls, Bealls Florida and Home Centric. In 2025, Bealls had $1.85 billion in revenue and 13,600 employees, according to the Business Observer's 2026 Big Book of Business.
