PickleRage, a chain of pickleball facilities, is opening a club in Fort Myers early next year.

The 42,000-square-foot franchisee-owned center will be at 15271 McGregor Blvd. in the McGregor Pointe Shopping Center. The franchisee is Ed Pickett.

LQ Commercial Real Estate, which represented the center’s owner in the transaction, says the PickleRage will be Southwest Florida’s largest pickleball club to date.

When it opens in the first quarter of next year, the club will have 13 climate controlled CushionX courts as well as a pro-shop selling equipment and apparel and technology designed to ease court bookings and check-ins, according to the statement.

It will also host leagues, lessons, clinics and social events.

Miami Beach-based PickleRage was founded in 2023. The company, according to its website, currently has about 18 clubs either open or coming soon. That includes a second Florida club in the works, this one in Jacksonville.

The company says it plans to open more than 500 clubs nationally in the next five years.

LQ’s Tom Strauss and Jessica McEvoy represented the landlord, McGregor Pointe Shopping Center LLC in the transaction. Lease details were not disclosed.
