After a yearlong hiatus, the Naples Area Board of Realtors is bringing back its Leadership Academy.

The new curriculum, according to a statement, provides “well-defined leadership experiences that meet the targeted competencies required of tomorrow’s Realtor professionals and association leaders and aligns with NABOR’s strategic goals and objectives.”

The class will also embark on a board-directed, collaborative skill-building project to improve their public speaking and presentation skills, the release states. Beneficial for customer meetings, networking events and community outreach, it will cover various aspects of public speaking such as body language, voice modulation storytelling and handling Q&A sessions.

“Restructuring the Leadership Academy resulted in a program that better suits a new generation of professional Realtors,” says Joe Nugent, 2025 Leadership Development Committee Chair, in the statement. “This included saying good-bye to class projects outside the industry and narrowing our focus to include experiential training modules that expose class participants to industry-relevant situations where specific leadership skills are critical.”

Applications for NABOR’s 2026 Leadership Academy will be accepted in December 2025.
