The Gulf Harbour Yacht & Country Club in Fort Myers has begun work on a $12.8 million expansion project.

Bonita Springs-based Curran Young Construction broke ground on the project, according to a statement.

The project at Gulf Harbour, at 14500 Vista River Drive, will expand the clubhouse from 29,810 to 42,600 square feet and introduce a complete interior renovation “designed to elevate the member experience with a modern, sophisticated aesthetic,” the release states. From the marina-facing side, meanwhile, the redesigned clubhouse will feature enhanced views of the water from both the pool and interior spaces, offering a more seamless connection to the club’s signature waterfront lifestyle.

Other enhancements at Gulf Harbour, on the Caloosahatchee River and 4.5 nautical miles from the gulf include:

  • A fully renovated interior with upscale, contemporary finishes
  • A new pergola feature along the exterior
  • An expanded open-air dining area overlooking the marina
  • Improved member dining experience with versatile outdoor options
  • A refreshed exterior to reflect a more modern, coastal design

Completion of the project is expected in August 2026.
