Elevate Home Services, a Fort Myers air conditioning servicing company, has bought competitor St. Clair’s Custom Air in Cape Coral.

Justin Carrol, Elevate’s president and co-owner, did not disclose the terms of the deal, saying in an email that “we need to keep the financial details of our deals private.”

The company got it's start with the acquisition of Whaley's Air Conditioning in November 2023. About a month after the purchase, the new owners changed the name to Elevate.

Then, in January, it purchased Griffith Heating and Cooling.

According to Carrol, two technicians working for St. Clair’s have moved with the company and another declined a position. With the two new employees, the company now has a payroll of 52 people.

But that may grow.

Rhonda and Greg St. Clair’s, the company’s now former owners, are taking the rest of the year off and Carrol says they plan to apply for work at Elevate early next year. “We believe they will come to work with us.”

Greg St. Clair, in a statement, says he sold to Elevate because he could trust it “to continue this company’s legacy while enhancing the lives of our team.”

“I haven’t made this decision lightly,” he says.

With the addition of St. Clair’s, the company now serves customers across Southwest Florida.
