The complex is scheduled to be completed in third quarter, according to a statement from the owner, developer, construction manager and site contractor, Fort Myers-bases Seagate Development Group. The headquarters is 150,000 square feet spread through two buildings, just north of Alico Road and a short drive from its current offices in the Gateway area. At the new size, it’s nearly double the company’s current headquarters.

Seagate is currently completing site work and interior finishes, the release states, and has completed the drainage, grading, curbing and sidewalk. Crews are currently installing pavers, irrigation lines and plant materials, as well as preparing to conduct the final lift of asphalt in the parking lot and on the roadways. Additionally, team members are conducting striping, installing wheel stops and adding signage to the property.

Crews with Naples-based DeAngelis Diamond, the general contractor, continue to install all the floor and wall finishes, the light and bathroom fixtures and more, the release states. At the same time, NeoGenomics has begun to move its equipment and furniture into the lab and office buildings. The company plans to have about 350 to 400 employees work out of the headquarters at the beginning, with room to house some 700 employees.

“This is the result of an international company’s vision to work with local firms that pride themselves just as much in building relationships as they do in creating fully functional facilities,” Seagate Development Group CEO & Partner Matt Price says in the statement. “We’re nearly at the finish line of an ongoing effort to grow Lee County and the region overall.”

NeoGenomics, with 1,750 employees worldwide, posted $444.5 million in revenue in 2020, up 9% over 2019. It had $116 million in revenue in the 2021 first quarter.
