BONITA SPRINGS — Bonita Fairways Community Association, the homeowner’s association of the Bonita Fairways community, recently purchased the Bonita Fairways Golf Club.
Financial terms of the purchase weren’t disclosed.
The association has reopened the public 18-hole course under new management, according to a statement, hiring Lifestyle Management Group of Florida (LMGOF) to manage, update and grow the course while focusing on the daily player experience. In compliance with COVID-19 regulations, restrictions are in place to ensure the safety of golfers and staff, the release adds.
“We are excited to be making dramatic improvements, starting with the course itself,” says Don Griffin, president of the Bonita Fairways Golf Club, in the statement. “Current plans include a full renovation of the pro shop, café and course to make it the premier executive golf course in Bonita Springs.”
Travis Snyder, who holds a Bachelor of Science in PGA golf management from Florida Gulf Coast University, was named director of golf for the facility. Bonita Fairways Golf Club is a public 18-hole executive course on 75 acres. Gordon Lewis designed the 3,400-yard, par 61 course.
“LMGOF will be revitalizing the club to make it the best golfing experience for players,” LMGOF President Jimmy Lynn says in the statement. “We have developed special programs and welcome local leagues.”
