$500M franchise company founder to keynote Naples event

Greg Muzzillo is the third speaker in the NextGen Speaker Series for 2022.

NAPLES — A franchise industry star, Greg Muzzillo, is the upcoming scheduled speaker for the next NextGen Speaker Series. The event, at the Grey Oaks Country Club in Naples, is scheduled for Friday, March 25 at 8 a.m.

Muzzillo is the founder of Proforma, a promotional products giant that handles a variety of services, from printing and branded merchandise to digital media and uniforms and apparel. The company, which Muzzillo founded in 1978 with just $200 to buy some business cards and a phone answering machine, is now a $500 million enterprise. Every year, according to NextGen, some 20-30 Proforma franchise owners are named to Inc. magazine’s list of the 5000 Fastest Growing Companies.

Muzzillo and his wife, Vera Muzzillo, CEO of Proforma, together co-sponsor the $50,000 annual Big Idea Gator Business Plan Competition at the University of Florida. They also rank No.6 on the 2021 Power 50 list of top leaders in the industry and are listed on 1851's 2022 list of Top Franchise Influencers. In addition to Proforma, Muzzillo served on the board of the International Franchise Association and served on the board at the University of Tampa.

Benson Blackburn, a boutique financial services firm founded in 1976, is the founding sponsor of the NextGen Speaker Series. Previous speakers for 2022 include Atlanta Braves vice chairman emeritus John Schuerholz and Naples entrepreneurs David and Jerri Hoffmann.
