Ryze Claims Solutions, a national insurance claims services firm based in Tampa and backed by Bain Capital Insurance, has named a new CEO.
Walter Leddy, with 20 years of leadership experience in the industry, is the new top executive. He will lead the company’s “continued expansion of (its) service offerings and continued investment in technology and innovation,” according to a release. He will also look to lead the company on acquisition opportunities, officials say.

Ryze was founded in 1996, according to PitchBook. The firm provides “full-service residential and commercial claims management solutions to the insurance carrier, hybrid or fronting carrier and managing general agent (MGA) markets,” according to its LinkedIn profile. Its executive chairman, Tony Grippa, was a senior leader and president at industry giant Brown & Brown Insurance, where his responsibilities included direct oversight of 19 retail insurance offices around the United States, the firm’s website states.
Today, the firm says in the release about Leddy, it “leverages its proprietary claims management platform, Radius, and internally developed AI powered tools such as RyzeQAi” to “deliver high-quality personal and commercial claims services to the property & casualty insurance market.”
Leddy joins Ryze from Davies, a professional services and technology firm serving insurance and highly-regulated markets, where he served most recently as CEO of US Field Services, the release states. Previously, Leddy was CEO of IAS Claims Services, which was acquired by Davies in 2021. Earlier in his career, he served as GM/Vice President of Strategic Accounts at Rackspace, a leading managed cloud services provider and held strategy and operations roles at Hewlett-Packard and Delta Airlines.
“We are thrilled to welcome Walt as CEO of Ryze,” Grippa says in the release. “His combined experience and leadership in claims, strategy and operations will be invaluable as we continue scaling and diversifying Ryze. His experience at Davies and client-first approach will serve Ryze well as we expand our relationships with top carriers and MGAs.”
