A Miami company that says it's committed to revitalizing American manufacturing has acquired Sunbrite Solutions, a Charlotte County business that makes and sells patented high-performance outdoor lighting systems.

Miami-based Manufacturing Corporation of America says it plans to reband Sunbrite under the name Boss Lighting and integrate it with its Uniforce Plastics Division. MCA, in a statement, says it has invested in a new 7,500-square-foot manufacturing facility in Punta Gorda for Boss Lighting, more than doubling the company’s workforce and production capacity.

Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.

Boss Lighting specializes in products for marine, offroad, mining and more, utilizing its patented technology that “ensures optimal cooling and delivers some of the brightest lights in the market,” according to its website.

“We’ve spent over two decades engineering lighting systems that outperform and outlast anything else on the market, Boss Lighting President Jim Grady, former owner of Sunbrite Solutions, says in the statement,“With MCA’s partnership, we’re scaling that legacy while staying true to what makes Boss Lighting different: unmatched performance, precision craftsmanship and a drive to innovate where others settle.”

MCA officials say Boss Lighting’s “American-made, CNC-machined, fully dimmable LED solutions are built to withstand the most extreme environments, delivering unmatched reliability where competitors fall short.”

“Boss Lighting is built on a foundation of innovation and quality,” MCA CEO Steve Austin, says in the release. “With MCA’s resources behind them, we’re not just scaling production; we’re raising the bar for what performance lighting should be. It is the next serious contender in the industry, and we’re proud to back it.”

Manufacturing Corporation of America says it’s “dedicated to securing the future of the American industrial base by strategically acquiring successful legacy industrial manufacturing businesses.”
