Tampa International Airport reopened Friday morning, but passengers are expected to check the status of their flight as many airlines have delays or cancellations.
From a released statement, TPA notes that access to Peter O. Knight Airport in Tampa’s Davis Islands remains restricted due to flooding and a reopening time has not been determined yet. Tampa Executive and Plant City airports are restarting operations today. Those three facilities are operated by the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority, which also runs TPA.
As of 9:15 a.m. Friday, the St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport is open. All morning departures are either canceled or delayed, but afternoon departures are all on schedule except one flight delayed out of Asheville, North Carolina. Arrivals for the morning are a mix of on time, cancelled and delayed.
The airport is "open and operating as normal," but airport officials encourage travelers to check with their airlines for updated flight information.
Some flights are delayed on Friday, Sept. 27, and a couple have been canceled (Southwest flight 4404 to Baltimore at 11:45 a.m. and Southwest flight 2067 to Nashville at 12:45 p.m.), according to the airport departures page.
Most flights were canceled Thursday, Sept. 26. One flight scheduled to leave for Atlanta (Delta flight 3196) at 11:13 a.m. departed at 11:56 a.m.
Airlines at RSW have resumed flights on Friday, Sept. 27; however, many are delayed. Check the departures page for details.
Air Canada, American, Breeze, Frontier, JetBlue, Southwest, Spirit, Sun Country, United and WestJet canceled flights on Thursday, Sept. 26, according to officials with the airport in Fort Myers.
The airport is "open and operational," PGD officials say on Friday, Sept. 27.

Punta Gorda Airport was "open and operational," officials said Thursday, Sept. 26. "We will remain open as long as operations continue safely."
