The Gulf Coast Community Foundation has appointed a new vice president of community leadership, effective in March 2025. Erin Minor, who currently serves as the CEO of Harvest House, will take on the position at the nonprofit.
Minor began her career as a case manager at Harvest House, a nonprofit housing and hunger relief provider with 380 beds and programs throughout Sarasota and Manatee counties. After working her way through the organization, she became executive director in 2010 and CEO in 2018.
"Erin's 14-plus years of leading a high-performing organization will bring fresh perspectives and new energy to Gulf Coast,” Gulf Coast Community Foundation President and CEO Phillip Lanham says in a statement. “As a leader in affordable housing and mental health support services, Erin is poised to deepen our impact and lead our team to new heights.”
Since it was founded in 1995, the Gulf Coast Community Foundation has given more than $575 million in grants in the areas of health and human services, civic and economic development, arts and culture, education and the environment.
In her role as vice president of community leadership for the foundation, Minor will work with nonprofit partners and donors to develop and execute “strategies for achieving the foundation’s vision of thriving communities with opportunities for all” in ways that are measurable, according to a statement.
She will work with Director of Community Leadership Jennifer Johnston, Community Leadership Associate Hollie Mowry and Community Leadership Administrator Harriet Thompson. Minor will also partner with Jon Thaxton, who is assuming the role of director of policy and advocacy at Gulf Coast Community Foundation in 2025.
