VENICE — In an effort to create long-term systemic improvements in the community, a Venice-based nonprofit announced a couple of changes to the leadership team.
Jennifer Johnston, who has been with the Gulf Coast Community Foundation since 2017, was promoted to director of community leadership. Additionally, the organization brought on Kameron Partridge Hodgens, former CEO and executive director of The Glasser/Schoenbaum Human Services Center. She will serve with Johnston with a focus on creating strategic initiatives to create regional transformation.
“Jennifer and Kameron represent the innovation and dynamic energy that drive our successful community initiatives,” says Mark Pritchett, president and CEO, in a news release. “I am thrilled to welcome them both into this leadership role to drive our work forward and serve our incredibly strong nonprofit community.”
During her time with the team, Johnston has worked closely with Jon Thaxton, the senior VP for community leadership, on critical initiatives. In partnership with Charles & Margery Barancik Foundation, Johnston also leads the Here4YOUth Mental Health initiative.
“Stepping into these roles, Jennifer and Kameron will be able to leverage their proven skills to accelerate our impact in the community,” Thaxton says. “They will directly impact the lives of our community members by living our mission and bringing us closer to our vision of thriving communities with opportunities for all.”
