Avesta Communities offering multifamily training to college graduates
Tampa-based multifamily investment and management firm Avesta Communities has started offering a two-year business-training program to teach college graduates the multifamily real estate business.

Associates will train throughout Avesta's departments, including acquisitions, redevelopment and business operations. The program consists of a series of two- to six-month rotations followed by a yearlong rotation. Participants will receive formal and informal training, personalized coaching and opportunities to interact with senior executives. Rotations could include work at the corporate office and field assignments.

“We are seeking to expand our team with recent college graduates who have a commitment to excellence and believe in the Avesta mission: to elevate humanity through business,” Avesta Founder, Partner and Head of Development Robert Reynolds says in a press release. “The business-training program is specifically tailored to develop financial and operational skills in associates for an investment or management career.”

World of Beer hires First Watch, P.F. Chang's execs
World of Beer, a network of beer-centered taverns, has appointed Ken Cruley as its chief financial officer and Terry Haley as its vice president of marketing.

As senior audit manager at Deloitte & Touche, Cruley assessed financial situations for domestic and international clients. He has been chief financial officer of the Bradenton-based First Watch Restaurants since 1996.

Haley has served in multiple marketing roles for P.F. Chang's China Bistro Inc. and SABMiller, working with brands including Foster's and Leinenkugel's. While working with Miller Genuine Draft, Haley earned recognition by Advertising Age as “Marketer of the Next Generation,” and was featured in Brandweek's 2006 30 Under 30 in U.S. Marketing.

“I am exceptionally fortunate that Terry & Ken have joined our dynamic [World of Beer] team,” World of Beer CEO Paul Avery says in a press release. “Their proven leadership capabilities will complement our existing momentum significantly.”

World of Beer began in 2007 in Tampa. There are currently 52 locations in 16 states.

Seven Seas Water Corp. hires Ark Infrastructure Solutions owner
Seven Seas Water Corp. has hired Ark Pang as senior vice president, chief business development officer and a member of the executive committee.

Pang, who is the managing director and owner of Ark Infrastructure Solutions Inc., joins Seven Seas Water after seven years as Kharafi National Co.'s Infrastructure Project Development Division's chief development officer. He was responsible for managing the development of several infrastructure projects in the Middle East and North Africa region. He was also the Corporate Business Development Division's chief development officer managing the sales and marketing of all Kharafi National's business lines in the Middle East and North Africa Region, focusing on Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Egypt, Southern Iraq and Saudi Arabia.

Previously, he was vice president and global water scarcity business development leader for GE Infrastructure Water & Process Technologies.

Pang spent 24 years with Ionics Inc. as an executive before its sale to GE in 2005.

“Mr. Pang's strategic skills in global business development are precisely the expertise we were looking for to support our international growth initiatives,” John Curtis, Seven Seas Water's president and CEO, says in a press release.

Green Hygienics, Innovations moving to South Cape Business Center
Green Innovations Ltd. and the company's wholly owned subsidiary, Green Hygienics Inc. plan to relocate their headquarters to the South Cape Business Center in Cape Coral. The companies say the move stems from Green Hygienics' growth in the last year and will enable the company to better support its national sales and operations efforts.

The companies will be moving to 3208 Chiquita Blvd. S., Suite 216, Cape Coral.

“As the popularity of our Sensational Bamboo line continues to grow, so has our need to expand our facilities,” Bruce Harmon, chief financial officer of Green Innovations, says in a press release. “The new offices support our growing needs and increases our internal efficiencies.”

Green Hygienics is the exclusive North American distributor of American Hygienics Corp.'s 100% bamboo-based line of products, including personal care and paper-based goods.

Nuevo Advertising wins award for WellSpring Emetrol packaging
Sarasota-based marketing, advertising and public relations agency Nuevo Advertising Group recently won the 2014 American Package Design Award for work it completed for the WellSpring Pharmaceutical Corp.

Nuevo designed the new packaging for Wellspring's over-the-counter children's anti-nausea product, Emetrol, as part of a re-branding campaign. The new package design was based on several factors including the age of the user, generation, language, product loyalty, product uses and retail space. Nuevo also conducted focus groups.

In 2012, Nuevo won a similar award for WellSpring Pharmaceutical's Micatin antifungal cream product.

The annual national competition, presented by media company Graphic Design USA, received more than 2,000 entries from across the United States.
