Tampa's Wondersign partners with digital sign maker IAdea
Wondersign has become a certified software partner of Irvine, Calif.-based digital signage hardware company IAdea. Wondersign says the certification means that its cloud-based content management system fully supports all IAdea media players, signboards and multi-touch signboards.

“For our clients, flexibility and usability are key,” Andy Reinhard, CEO at Wondersign, says in a press release. “By partnering with IAdea and their wide range of state-of-the-art digital signage media players and signboards, we're able to provide them with a variety of solutions tailored to their individual needs.”

Wondersign's United States headquarters is in Tampa.

Digital Frontiers Media, Boost Studio merge to create BoostDFM
University Park-based brand design company Boost Studio is partnering with Sarasota-based multimedia production company Digital Frontiers Media to create BoostDFM. The new agency will focus on brand design, content creation and interactive digital marketing.

“Fusing our studio's high quality design with DFM's interactive and innovative capabilities means we can offer compelling new digital products and strategies that grab consumer attention and drive new revenue streams for our clients,” Boost Studio CEO and Design Director Christine Koch says in a press release.

South Tampa Chamber of Commerce promotes events, membership director to CEO
The South Tampa Chamber of Commerce has named Kelly Flannery as the chamber's new president and CEO.

Flannery was hired as director of events and membership for the chamber in 2013. In her time with the chamber she has implemented new ambassador and orientation programs, restructured member benefits, redesigned its main events and developed new events such as the recent Breakfast with Mayor Bob Buckhorn and the Inaugural Business of the Year Awards Gala.

Prior to joining the chamber, Flannery was a sales manager with GrillSmith Restaurants and Toffee to Go, and was the director of events at the Centre Club.

Aqua Mizer launches crowd funding campaign to expand abroad
Sarasota-based water-saving toilet flush component company Aqua Mizer Inc. has launched an Indiegogo.com crowd funding campaign to raise funds to expand internationally. The campaign will allow individuals from anywhere in the world to purchase Aqua Mizer products.

Aqua Mizer has announced plans to use the funding to complete the green certification for its flush systems from The International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, which will help its introduction into a number of countries, including India. The company says it plans to bring the low-water usage flushing system to countries with severe water shortages.

Solar Energy Management deploys state's largest integrated solar roof system
Tampa-based Solar Energy Management has completed the installation of Florida's largest integrated solar roof system on the new 50,000-square-foot Medallion Home headquarters at 1651 Whitfield Ave., Bradenton. The new Integrated Solar TPO 100KW Roofing System is expected to provide Medallion Home with federal solar incentives and lower power bills for at least the next 25 years.

The roof features 434 solar panels and three-phase inverters.

“This new technology is a breakthrough in commercial solar power,” Scott McIntyre, CEO of Solar Energy Management, says in a press release. “Not only does it make solar power affordable for commercial building owners, but our system doesn't penetrate the roofing structure, and it withstands hurricane-lift requirements, which is essential here in Florida.”

Florida's Largest Orthopedic group developing new clinic, surgical center
The state's largest orthopedic group is growing again. Florida Orthopaedic Institute has started construction on its newest urgent care clinic on Gunn Highway in Citrus Park.

The new location will feature 17,500 square feet of medical clinic space and 9,000 square feet of surgical space. As currently designed, it will include 16 exam rooms, three operating rooms, 11 preoperative and recovery beds, X-ray and MRI equipment, physical and occupational therapy and an area for orthopedic urgent care.

Scheduled to open in November, the new building is located at 6119 Gunn Highway, Tampa.

Founded in 1989, Florida Orthopaedic Institute currently has 13 offices in Bloomingdale, Brandon, Brooksville, Carrollwood, Citrus Park, Dade City, Northdale, Wesley Chapel, Palm Harbor, South Tampa, Sun City Center, Tampa and North Tampa. The group's related 9-year-old Florida Orthopaedic Institute Surgery Center has performed more than 86,000 orthopedic and pain management procedures.

ThreatTrack Security introduces new security offering
Clearwater's ThreatTrack Security has announced the release of ThreatSecure, a specialized malware protection platform. ThreatSecure offers real-time detection and automated fixes/removal of threats that evade traditional signature-based anti-malware tools.

Stewart Moon of Air & Energy honored with U.T. Family Business Award
Stewart Moon Jr., vice president of Holmes Beach's Air & Energy, has been awarded University of Tampa Entrepreneurship Center's Alumni Family Business Award. Moon was recognized by the Entrepreneurship Center's Alumni Committee for the growth he sparked within his family's business since his graduation from the University of Tampa in 2010.
