BONITA SPRINGS — Innovative Food Holdings, a specialty food distributor to chefs and gourmets, plans to move its headquarters from Naples to Bonita Springs, the company says in corporate filings.

The publicly traded company recently acquired a 10,000-square-foot building that contains both office and warehouse space at 28411 Race Track Road in Bonita Springs for $770,000.

Innovative Food plans to move its headquarters to the building it acquired in Bonita Springs in about four months, the filing says. It acquired the property as part of a bank short sale.

Innovative Food (symbol: IVFH; recent price: 26 cents) provides 30,000 upscale-restaurant chefs around the country with specialty foods such as heirloom tomatoes, sashimi-grade tuna, foie gras and Italian gorgonzola.
