Engineering firm expands service offerings

Waldrop Engineering taps 30-year industry veteran James Abney as senior irrigation specialist.

BONITA SPRINGS —Southwest Florida development consulting firm Waldrop Engineering has expanded to include irrigation design and planning and has hired James Abney as senior irrigation specialist.

Abney has more than 30 years of experience in landscape irrigation consulting, including design, construction observation, systems auditing and applications management for projects. He was also a licensed irrigator and certified landscape irrigation auditor in Texas for more than 20 years, according to a statement. 

“The addition of an irrigation design and planning team within our group is part of our plan to provide comprehensive landscape architecture services for our clients,” says Waldrop Engineering Senior Vice President and COO Ryan Binkowski in the statement.

Headquartered in Bonita Springs with offices in Fort Myers, Sarasota, Tampa and Orlando, Waldrop Engineering is a development consulting firm specializing in civil engineering, landscape architecture and planning.
