Construction is officially underway for a new ambulatory clinic in Cape Coral. The 100,000-square-foot facility on Veterans Parkway will provide diagnostic, treatment and surgical services through Lee Health.
When complete, the center, according to a statement, will provide surgical and interventional services, with four operating rooms, two catheterization labs, two electrophysiology labs and 28 pre- and post-operative recovery rooms. In addition, it will be equipped with imaging and radiology capabilities, including a PET-CT imaging room, MRI suite, X-ray facilities, three echo vascular ultrasound rooms and two nuclear stress treadmill rooms. There will be an advanced infusion center with 24 stations, including private options, and an infusion pharmacy for chemotherapy and intravenous therapy treatment. Finally, the facility will include an outpatient space to support cardiology, musculoskeletal, and oncology services.
The clinic layout is designed to minimize wait times, optimize patient flow and integrate state-of-the-art medical technologies.
“As Lee Health's largest project in Cape Coral in more than 40 years, this new outpatient center brings a range of services together to support patients and families throughout their healthcare journey,” Chief Administrative Officer of Lee Physician Group and Ambulatory Care Kris Fay says in the statement.
The project is expected to be completed in 2027. Working on the team are Naples-based DeAngelis Diamond, Wisconsin-headquartered Flad Architects and Tennessee-based planning firm Smith Seckman Reid Inc.
