A 1950s-inspired luxury supper club will open in Westshore’s business district this Friday.

The Sapphire: Lounge & Supper Club, a luxury dining and nightlife destination, is celebrating its grand opening inside a 17,000-square-foot space on the ground floor of TriPointe Plaza, at 4410 W. Boy Scout Blvd.

A nod to the glamorous and sophisticated supper clubs of the 1950s, the Sapphire combines luxury dining with live entertainment, promising guests “an elevated experience where cuisine, music and atmosphere converge,” according to a release.

The soft opening begins Friday, May 15, welcoming guests to the late-night lounge with walk-in availability on Wednesdays and Sundays beginning at 9 p.m., and Thursdays through Saturdays beginning at 9:30 p.m. Reservations for the full dining experience are now available through OpenTable for June 3 and beyond, according to the release.

“Our grand opening is a culmination of our dedication to bringing an elevated experience to the Tampa community,” Stephen Hickey, Managing Partner of The Sapphire: Lounge & Supper Club, says in the release.

Last year, New York-based real estate firm the Feil Organization signed a long-term lease agreement for the Sapphire within the Class A, four-story retail and office building. Terms of the lease agreement were not immediately available.

“TriPointe Plaza was envisioned as a premier destination for innovative and experience-driven tenants, and The Sapphire: Lounge & Supper Club is an exceptional addition to the property,” Amy Worral, General Manager at The Feil Organization, says in the release.

The venue boasts “immersive entertainment,” including live bands, DJs, and “high-energy performances.” A 12-foot LED wall, atmospheric performers and a signature LED dance floor helps the space transition into a late-night entertainment destination. The venue offers a collection of private and semi-private suites designed to host intimate dinners or large-scale celebrations, each featuring private entrances for “discretion” and select suites offering dedicated bars, private patios and fully customized food and beverage menus.

Hickey, the GM, is a Tampa native with more than 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry. His career began in 2004 at Timpano Chophouse and, most recently, he served as managing partner for the inaugural Eddie V’s Prime Seafood in Tampa, a flagship concept developed by Darden Restaurants.

The Sapphire is open Wednesday and Sunday from 6 p.m. to midnight and Thursday through Saturday from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m The venue is closed Mondays and Tuesdays, however private dining is available daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Hillsborough County property records show that Feil acquired TriPointe Plaza in 2019 for $34.1 million.
