The popular burger chain Shake Shack is coming to Estero.

The New York-founded chain is opening next year at Coconut Point, one of nearly half a dozen retailers moving into the open-air mall in the coming months.

Shake Shack, which started in New York’s City Madison Square Park as a hot dog cart, is, as its name declares, best known for its ShackBurgers and shakes made with frozen vanilla custard.

The chain already has 29 locations in the state, including five along the Gulf coast. That includes two in Tampa and one each in Naples, Sarasota and Wesley Chapel.

In addition to Shake Shack next year, four other merchants are opening at Coconut Point in June and July. They are:

  • Kendra Scott: A jewelry chain that sells pendant necklaces, huggie earrings, band rings, and more.
  • Brooks Brothers: A classic clothing retailer founded in 1818 that specializes in suits, dress shirts, blazers and ties.
  • Rowan: An ear-piercing studio staffed by licensed nurses that uses hypoallergenic products.
  • LaserAway: A medspa offering minimally invasive skin treatments — hair removal, tattoo removal and skin rejuvenation.

Other mall happenings include Starbucks Coffee reopening this month following renovations, Estero Bay Olive Oil and Tea relocating to a new and expanded spot this summer, and Toy World moving to a larger location in September 2026.

Coconut Point is off of Interstate 75, just south of Corkscrew Road on U.S. Highway 41. Its tenant mix includes about 110 shops and restaurants including Dillard’s Barnes & Noble, Target, Apple Store and Ruth’s Chris Steak House.

It is owned by the Simon Property Group which also owns Ellenton Premium Outlets in Manatee County and Tampa Premium Outlets in Pasco County. Those are among the 194 mall and outlet properties, including 22 in Florida, the company owns across the U.S.
