Allegiant Airlines is once again adding new flights out of St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport (PIE), bringing the airport’s total number of nonstop destinations to 63 cities.
Those new routes, the airport announced Tuesday are to Atlantic City, New Jersey beginning Feb 13; Trenton, New Jersey beginning Feb. 20; and Huntsville, Alabama beginning March 5.
One-way fares on the budget airline start at $49.
Now in its 20th year of service at PIE, Allegiant is known for connecting small to midsize cities to popular destinations, the release says.
“Allegiant has been a great partner in growing leisure air service in the Tampa Bay market,” Interim Airport Director Mark Sprague says in the release. “Our award-winning beaches and lifestyle have proven to make St. Pete-Clearwater a top destination. We welcome New Jersey and Alabama visitors to non-stop fun and relaxation.”
The announcement comes as part of a larger expansion effort for Allegiant. The low-fare airline is adding service to 35 cities and entering four new markets this year, according to a release.
As demand for value-focused travel continues to grow, Allegiant remains dedicated to offering budget-friendly fares with excellent customer service, the company says in a release.
