Two longtime Sarasota law firms have joined together in what the entities are calling a “strategic merger.” Syprett Meshad and Eastmoore Crauwels & DuBos are joining forces under the name Syprett Meshad & DuBose.
“With this merger, we are bringing together two of Sarasota’s most established and recognized firms,” Scott Westheimer, partner at Syprett Meshad and past president of The Florida Bar, says in a statement. “We share the same commitment to providing high-quality legal representation while remaining a locally focused firm.”
Syprett Meshad was founded in 1968, and its practice areas include complex personal injury litigation, commercial litigation, family law, real estate, probate and criminal defense.
Eastmoore Crauwels & DuBose was established in 1991 and handles complex personal injury, medical malpractice and legal malpractice cases throughout the region.
Under the new name Syprett Meshad & Dubose, E. Keith DuBose and Warren Chin will join the firm as partners. Ted Eastmoore will serve as Of Counsel, and Charles “Chuck” Demchak will join the other associates, according to the statement. Rounding out the firm will be additional legal and support staff.
“For our clients, this new alliance strengthens our ability to handle complex litigation while maintaining the personalized service for which our firms are known,” DuBose says in the statement. “We are excited to join forces with a firm that shares our commitment to excellence and our dedication to the Sarasota community.”
The firm will operate from Syprett Meshad’s office at 1900 Ringling Blvd. It will introduce updated branding and a new website in the near future.
