Pennsylvania window giant sells fast-growing Tampa company

High-quality and impact-resistant window and door manufacturer MITER Brands announced the sale of its NewSouth Window Solutions brand on Monday to buyer Window Nation. 

According to the Monday announcement, MITER Brands divestiture with New South Windows will will allow the company to “realign with its core business model” and invest more in its other window and door subsidiary brands, including PGT, Anlin, Milgard, Windoor, CGI, MI, and Western Window Systems. 

NewSouth Window Solutions was founded in Tampa and grew to annual sales of around $80 million in less than a decade. Then, in 2019, it was purchased by Venice-based PGT Innovations – one of the region’s biggest employers. Harrisburg, Pennsylvania-based window and door manufacturer MITER Brands acquired PGT in a $3.1 billion deal that closed in 2024.
