South Tampa staple English pub sets reopening date in new spot

Mad Dogs and Englishmen, a quirky joint located in the heart of Tampa’s Interbay Peninsula, is reopening Jan. 29 in new digs less than a mile from its original location.

The menu will sport some longtime pub favorites like fish 'n' chips and shepherd’s pie, with several new additions from Chef Jeff Clark, such as aubergine bolognese and mushroom leek pie. Other offerings include tea service, Sunday roast and traditional English breakfast on weekends. 

The 6,000-square-foot space at 4914 S. MacDill Ave. provides a fireplace lounge and a Moroccan Room for community gathering, with the intention of holding events like book clubs and Manchester United watch parties.
