A Naples sports bar has closed and will reopen as a new concept under new owners following a property sale. Pelican Larry’s sold as of Nov. 25, according to commercial real estate firm LQ Commercial, which says the transaction totaled $500,000.

“This popular local hangout has officially changed hands and will be transformed into a new concept,” LQ Commercial says in a statement, noting Senior Broker Associate Frank Kupiec handled the deal.

Kupiec says he represented the seller, Pelican Larry's North LLC, a company owned by Randy Seyler, the founder of Pelican Larry's.

The buyer was Tipsy Corner Inc., an entity made up of the same people who own New York Pizza & Pasta in Naples, Kupiec says. According to the Florida Division of Corporations, the owners are Massimo and John Maffei.

The restaurant space spans more than 5,700 square feet and is in the Cameron Commons shopping plaza at 8855 Immokalee Road. The location is visible to more than 53,000 vehicles a day between Collier Boulevard and Immokalee Road, according to a real estate flyer for Cameron Commons, which is situated on the major east-west thoroughfare in Collier County.

Pelican Larry’s permanently closed in November, according to its Facebook page.
