National builder names new leader of Sarasota division

Greg Crawford has been working for M/I Homes for 20 years, since he was in college.

M/Homes, a national homebuilder with a growing presence on the west coast of Florida, named 20-year company employee Greg Crawford president of the Sarasota division.

Crawford began his career with M/I Homes in 2003 as a part-time construction manager when he was in college and advanced to management and executive roles with the company, according to a statement. He was most recently the division president for Tampa, the release adds. 

“My favorite part of this industry is watching families enjoy the communities and homes that we build for them,” Crawford says in the release. “Sarasota is a growing division for M/I Homes with eight amazing, established communities and I am honored to be leading the division this time of unprecedented growth.”

The M/I communities in the Sarasota division include: Sweetwater Villas at Lakewood Ranch; Riverside Preserve, Bradenton; Sweetwater at Lakewood Ranch; Cypress Glen at River Wilderness, Parrish; Summerwoods, Parrish; Trevesta, Palmetto; The Palms at Trevesta, Palmetto; and Sienna Park at University, Sarasota.

Columbus, Ohio-based M/I Homes has sold over 140,000 homes. In addition to Sarasota, other Florida divisions include Fort Myers/Naples and Orlando. National markets include Columbus and Cincinnati, Ohio; Nashville, Tennessee; Indianapolis; Chicago; Minneapolis/St. Paul; Detroit; Austin; Dallas/Fort Worth; Houston; San Antonio; and Charlotte and Raleigh, North Carolina.
