FORT MYERS — ADG Architecture of Fort Myers has been awarded the contract for the enhancement of the Success Through Academic and Recreational Support (STARS) Complex. The City of Fort Myers project will last approximately four months, according to a statement.
Located at 2980 Edison Ave., Fort Myers, the STARS Complex has served the community for more than 25 years. The enhancement will customize and enlarge the facility to meet the needs of the community and students who benefit from its academic and recreational programming, the release states. The redesign will also up-fit the building to be used as a hurricane shelter, the first within the Fort Myers city limits.
During the conceptual phase, ADG Architecture will hold two public workshops to determine the programs and design features most important to the residents.
Founded in 1990, ADG Architecture is an architecture and interior design firm with offices in Fort Myers and Port Charlotte. It specializes in churches, public safety buildings, educational and medical facilities and office buildings.
