Hodges earns certification

NAPLES — Hodges University's Fisher School of Technology earned a certification that enables graduates to achieve training standards recognized by major U.S. government agencies to thwart cyber threats.

The certification, called Information Assurance Courseware Evaluation Program, will train students to work to reduce the vulnerability of the country's infrastructure system. It follows the standards set by the Committee on National Security Systems.

“The committee is the only national forum with a presidential mandate to issue national security policy,” says Al Ball, undergraduate program chair for the Fisher School of Technology, in a statement. “It is an honor to have Hodges University's continued work in information assurance education recognized by the National Security Agency, Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security. We look forward to helping students become the next generation of cyber security professionals.”
