Edison State College Foundation buys Winkler land

PLANS, DESCRIPTION: The Edison State College Foundation purchased 8.12 acres on Winkler Road, south of College Parkway, for $1.08 million.

The price equated to $132,389 per acre.

The college purchased the property to increase its holdings along Winkler Road, according to Catherine Bergerson, director of communications and marketing. The school has no immediate plans to develop the property.

“As the college continues to grow and expand we feel this is a strategic investment to expand our existing footprint,” Bergerson says.

The college currently operates from a main campus on County Road 869, south of College Parkway.
