Arthrex employs 1,000 locals

NAPLES — Arthrex Inc. hired its 1,000th local employee in January, according to founder and President Reinhold Schmieding.

At a celebratory event put on by the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce, an independent research firm estimated that Arthrex generates an annual economic impact of nearly $435 million for the Naples community.

Schmieding's comments about the future of his business were overwhelmingly positive. “Arthrex will achieve over $1 billion in annual revenue in 2011 with a forecasted 15% annual growth minimum in revenue, job creation, tax revenue creation and new medical breakthroughs in the pipeline forecasted for 2011 and beyond,” he said.
