PLANS, DESCRIPTION: Paris Salon & Day Spa owners Ash Elalem and Manal Caldwell purchased the spa's 3,430-square-foot building for $950,000.

The price equated to $277 per square foot.

Paris Salon & Day Spa has occupied the building since 2007.

“We liked it because of the location,” Elalem says. “We saw that over the long term it would be beneficial to own it.”

The partners say they stand to save $800 a month paying the mortgage on the property compared to their prior rent. They also say they might paint the building and make some landscaping improvements.
