Wegwert named CBIA president

The Collier Building Industry Assocation installed Tom Wegwert as its new president at a banquet held on Dec. 8. In the private sector, Wegwert is president of Crystal Building Services.

In his remarks to more than 100 association members, Wegwert said the CBIA would work to bring a “positive business climate” to Collier County, noting that such an environment “has not been present for many years” in the area.

The CBIA also recognized three other building professionals from the area with annual achievment awards. Tom Lykos was named 2010 Builder of the Year; Stacey Herring was named Associate of the Year; and Bill Varian was named Remodeler of the Year.
