Upstart social media firm moves HQ to region, plans $50M investment

The Rumble app is expecting to invest around $50 million in the state over the next few years.

LONGBOAT KEY — A fast-growing video and social media platform that's gained traction in conservative circles nationwide with a bevy of prominent users is getting ready to rumble in Sarasota. 

The company, Toronto-based Rumble, says it's moving its headquarters to the region, according to a statement from the Sarasota County Economic Development Corp. Rumble officials plan to hire 20-25 people right away for the new office and estimate the firm will invest upward of $50 million in Florida over the next several years to complement its move to the region — to an office on Longboat Key. The release didn't disclose a Longboat address for the company. But Rumble USA Inc., a limited liability company where Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski is the top officer, has an office at 444 Gulf of Mexico Drive, Florida Department of State records show.
