SARASOTA — A luxury custom home builder in the area recently added to its line of homes.
The announcement came in response to rising construction costs, lack of finished home inventory and demand, according to a press release. Heritage Homes developed The Legacy Collection that features home plans starting in the $700,000s.

Having worked extensively with local realtors and designed custom homes for clients, the home builder saw a need for floor plans that could easily be customized, says Leif Schmidt, director of sales and marketing for Heritage.
“We invested quite a bit of time and resources into bringing the Legacy Collection to life,” says Schmidt in the release. “We were able to achieve tremendous cost savings through structural and design efficiencies, all while not compromising livability, style or finishes. These thoughtfully designed plans are pre-priced and permit-ready, taking almost a year off the traditional custom home design and construction process.”
Schmidt also notes that the design professionals can update an existing plan if a client wants to make changes.
