SARASOTA — Law firm Burg Simpson Eldredge Hersh & Jardine has expanded its construction defect department to Sarasota and Tampa.
A team of attorneys led by Shareholder Diana Sada will focus on construction defect cases and represent townhouse and condominium associations, according to a press release.
Over the past two decades, the Burg Simpson construction defect team has fought for associations who have been damaged by faulty design and construction defects, with issues including building code violations, poor workmanship and engineering deficiencies as well as matters relating to insulation, foundations, flooring and water intrusion, infrastructure and more, according to a statement.
Most recently, the team, led by Shareholder Mari Perczak, secured a $19.48 million award for a 17-building, 82-unit residential common-interest, townhome community in Aurora, Colo., the statement says.
“For over 25 years, our team at Burg Simpson has worked diligently on these often contentious and complicated cases for clients across several states” says Perczak in the statement. “We are excited to expand our team’s reach into Florida and continue to use our extensive experience in construction defect litigation to help more homeowners associations seek damages for residential construction defects.”
Burg Simpson was founded in 1976 by trial lawyer Michael Burg. Burg Simpson Eldredge Hersh & Jardine has more than 70 lawyers and over 90 legal professionals. The firm is based in Colorado and has offices in Arizona, Florida, Nevada, New Mexico, Ohio and Wyoming.
