FORT MYERS — Lee Health, one of the largest health care organizations in the state, recently announced its officer slate for the 2021 board of directors.
David Collins has been re-elected as chairman for 2021, according to a statement. A resident of Lee county since 1984, he has been a mortgage banker for more than 29 years and has served as a board member for PACE Center for Girls of Lee County and as treasurer for the PACE Capital Campaign. In 2018 he served on the Junior Achievement Hall of Fame Committee, the release states.
Therese Everly was re-elected as vice chair. She’s a registered respiratory therapist and licensed Realtor who also serves on the boards of the Lee County Homeless Coalition and Alzheimer’s Association Florida Gulfcoast Chapter. Everly has over 30 years of health care and management experience accompanied by a degree in health care administration, the release states.
Other officers include Donna Clarke, re-elected as treasurer and Diane Champion re-elected as secretary. Clarke is a former Florida State Representative, R-Sarasota, and has served as an adjunct professor with State College of Florida, while Champion has been a business owner/manager for 40 years in Lehigh Acres.
“We appreciate the officers’ commitment to serving our community and we are thankful to have such an accomplished group of board members working to further our dedication to provide the highest quality care,” Lee Health President and CEO Dr. Larry Antonucci says in the statement.
In addition to the officers, other board members include: Dr. Stephen R. Brown; Dr. Sanford Cohen; Kathy Bridge-Liles; Chris Hansen; Nancy McGovern; and Stephanie Meyer.
The board’s primary goal is to set the mission and vision of Lee Health, a nonprofit integrated health care services organization with four acute care hospitals, two specialty hospitals, outpatient centers, walk-in medical centers, primary care and specialty physician practices and other services across the continuum of care.
