NAPLES — The Collective, a Naples design hub located at 111 10th St. S., has opened its first phase of businesses, which include art galleries and curated home furnishing shops.
According to a press release, The Studio, The Collective’s area dedicated to interior and exterior details, has opened on the facility’s second floor and includes 21 individual studios — ranging in size from 88 to 291 square feet — that feature windows, lighting and tile, appliances, surfaces and fireplaces.
The Studio, the release states, also incorporates a conference room that’s available for building tenants as well as colleagues in the design, building and art industry as a safe alternative to meeting in a public space or office.
The third floor is occupied by Kurtz Homes, a builder of high-end estate homes and the developer of The Collective, and Premiere Systems, a company at the forefront of interior and exterior home technology for exceptional living spaces, the release states. Both firms are based in Naples.
“I’m excited to see the culmination of a vision that started 14 years ago when I purchased this land with two close friends,” Kurtz Homes co-founder Randy Kurtz states in the release. “I wanted to create a landmark building that would suit the character of the Naples Design District. The businesses that are going in the building are a perfect fit for what we envisioned — all like-minded design-, art- and building-oriented brands creating a one-stop destination for visitors and the trade.”
Stofft Cooney Architects and Allikristé Custom Cabinetry are expected to open for business at The Collective later in the summer.
