Westfield Group buys Dillard's store

Little Rock, Ark.-based Dillard's sold it's 98,156-square-foot department store in Westfield Sarasota Square Mall near Potter Park Drive to the Westfield Group for $3 million. The purchase price equated to $31 per square foot of building space.

Sarasota County, North Port offer to buy Springs

Sarasota County and the city of North Port have offered to buy Warm Mineral Springs in North Port. The two municipalities proposed paying Cypress Lending Group Ltd. $6.5 million for the roughly 81-acre property.
