Construction has started on a new industrial park in Fort Myers.

The work is on Phase 1 of The Hub at Daniels, which is being built at Saddle Road and Halter Lane. It is east of the Daniels Parkway and Treeline Avenue intersection, about five minutes from Southwest International Airport.

That first-phase is the 36,900-square-foot Building 500. It is expected to open early next year.

When complete, The Hub will total 160,900 square feet and include five buildings.

The developer, Halter Holdings, says the industrial flex-space will include fiber optic internet, 24/7 access to security cameras and a dedicated tenant portal. Units will include a 14-by-14-foot overhead door, a private restroom and full air conditioning, with interior clear heights ranging from about 17 to 34 feet.

Leasing has begun on Building 500, which will have 18 units with 2,010 square feet each. Construction on the remaining buildings will happen as momentum dictates.

Colliers is handling leasing. A spokesperson for the firm says the developer is not disclosing cost figures for the project.

Colliers' Dan Miller and Dan Rockenstein are handling the leasing.
