Fort Myers-based My Shower Door has opened its first showroom outside of Florida and North Carolina, the company announced Monday.

The family-owned custom frameless shower enclosure company is expanding to Rock Hill, South Carolina, with a new showroom at 1969 Canterbury Glen Lane opening to the public June 1.

Bill Daubman and his family founded the company in 2003 and have since established sibling companies My Architectural Glass and D3 Glass. Combined, the company’s brands employ approximately 190 people and have been recognized nine times on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in the U.S.

In its 23 years of business, My Shower Door has grown to more than 10 locations across Florida and North Carolina. Its expansion now into South Carolina’s York County is a strategic decision to deepen the company’s presence in a Charlotte metro area it already serves from the North Carolina side, the company says in a release.

My Shower Door’s Rock Hill showroom offers its complete lineup of custom frameless shower enclosures, specialty hardware and glass products available to homeowners. Expert design consultation and professional installation are also provided. At this location, customers can also peruse other premium glass products, such as wine closets.

All glass installed in My Shower Door enclosures is made at D3 Glass, the company’s own Southwest Florida-based manufacturing facility, the release says, creating glass panels with a low-iron, mirror-like quality.

The company’s own design team creates custom shower designs for each homeowner’s space, and in-house-trained installers complete the installation with no subcontractor handoffs.
