The Sarasota waterfront estate put up for sale by Creedence Clearwater Revival bassist Stu Cook has changed hands. An upstate New York multifamily real estate executive is the buyer.
At 3638 San Remo Terrace near the north bridge to Siesta Key, the property was originally marketed for $9.97 million. It sold for $7.5 million on Jan. 30, according to Douglas Elliman Real Estate, whose agent Joel Schemmel represented Cook in the sale.
Cook, inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1993, purchased the property for $2.95 million in 2013, according to Sarasota County property records.
The home spans more than 4,500 square feet, including four bedrooms and four-and-a-half baths. Originally designed by noted architect Carl Abbott, who was part of the Sarasota School of Architecture, it was constructed in 2002 and rebuilt in 2016. It now features triple-pane, hurricane-rated windows and doors and a whole house generator as well as all new electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.
Tucked in San Remo Estates, a neighborhood off Siesta Drive, the 0.36-acre property overlooks the water. Walls of windows showcase waterfront views, which are also visible from the pool deck and rooftop deck with wet bar, accessible by elevator.

The new owner of the home is Myron Robbins, president of Buffalo Management Group, an apartment management company that owns and manages 28 properties in Buffalo, New York. Adnan Dedic of Compass represented Robbins in the transaction.
Just because he sold his San Remo Estates home does not mean Sarasota has seen the last of Cook; he still has a residence on Golden Gate Point, which he and his wife purchased for $8.1 million in 2024, according to Sarasota County property records. There, they own a penthouse condominium.
