A rock star has listed his waterfront home in Sarasota for sale for $9.98 million.

Stu Cook, bassist for the band Creedence Clearwater Revival who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993, is selling his property in San Remo Estates, according to a statement.

Architect Carl Abbott designed the home, which features a zen garden and travertine walkway leading to a glass double-door entrance. Inside, a living area presents views of the water through walls of glass and pocket sliders, accented by a sculptural marble fireplace.

Designed as a loft-style retreat, the second-story primary suite has a sliding wood privacy wall, private outdoor terrace and two custom-organized, walk-in closets. In total, the house contains four bedrooms and four-and-a-half baths.

Among the highlights are an elevator, rooftop deck, boat dock with lift and pool with sunshades.

Originally constructed in 2002, the house was entirely rebuilt, the release states, with the exception of the garage, in 2016. It now features triple-pane, hurricane-rated windows and doors and a whole house generator as well as all new electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.

The property features a rooftop deck, pool with covered seating areas and a dock and boat lift.

“This unparalleled estate is a vision of modern architectural excellence,” Schemmel says in the statement. “Every detail has been meticulously crafted to offer an elevated living experience that reflects a legendary music provenance.”
