Home Shopping Network’s parent company QVC has announced an update to its layoff plans.

The company says 373 employees will be laid off over a 14-day period starting July 1. An additional 228 employees will remain either remotely or at the facility at 1 HSN Drive for the transition and closure, according to a release from the company.

The information regarding the actual closing date of the facility was not disclosed.

In March the company posted to a government website that HSN’s St. Petersburg headquarters would be shuttered and operations moved to QVC’s headquarters in Pennsylvania, with the move impacting 730 employees.

The first wave is scheduled for May 26 and will affect 122 employees.

Home Shopping Network was founded in St. Pete in 1982 by Roy Speer and Lowell "Bud" Paxson. It began as a radio call-in shopping program in 1977 before moving to cable TV. It was purchased in 2017 by Liberty Interactive Corporation, at the time the parent company of its competitor QVC.

In April, HSN’s 64.8 acre headquarters was listed for sale through CBRE
