A prominent Chicago restaurant group is making its Florida debut with a Greek restaurant scheduled to open this fall in the Mercato in North Naples.

The company, DineAmic Hospitality, will open Violi, what it calls a “taverna-style Greek restaurant” and sister concept to the group’s acclaimed Chicago restaurant LÝRA, according to a statement. The 6,500-square-foot interior and 1,500-square-foot open-air patio will have seating for 300 indoors and an additional 50 on the outdoor terrace. Violi will go into the space that was Bravo Italian Kitchen, which had been at Mercato for more than a decade.

“We have spent many years in Naples and have always felt a deep connection to this city,” DineAmic Co-Founder Luke Stoioff, whose family resides locally, says in the release. “After the success of LÝRA in Chicago, we’re excited to bring the warmth of Greek hospitality to Southwest Florida.”

Violí, meaning “violin” in Greek, is inspired by the music of Greek street performers and the coastal charm of the islands, the company says. At the helm of Violí’s open kitchen is Chef Athinagoras Kostakos, a “Top Chef Greece” winner and culinary partner of the iconic Scorpios Mykonos and Noema, the release states. (The debut Violí opened in Oak Brook, Illinois in 2022.) Dishes include Grilled Lamb Chops, Mediterranean Branzino, Charred Octopus and house-made Spanakopitakia. The beverage menu, the release adds, includes Greek wines, and signature cocktails such as the Mykonian Mezz and the Hades.

“We wanted to bring a true taste of Greece to Naples while embracing the relaxed, inviting atmosphere of a traditional taverna,” DineAmic Co-Founder David Rekhson says in the release. “Violí is an elevated, yet approachable Greek experience.”

Violí will also accommodate private dining, group celebrations, and special events.

DineAmic Hospitality has 20 locations in and around Chicago, under brands that include LÝRA, Siena Tavern, Prime & Provisions, La Serre and Fioretta.
