Faith-based health care giant buys 77-year-old Polk medical group

Central Florida faith-based nonprofit community health organization AdventHealth has acquired a Polk County medical clinic.

AdventHealth, according to a statement, has purchased Bond Clinic, a physician group of more than 90 providers encompassing 28 specialties serving Winter Haven and the surrounding Polk region. The deal includes Bond Clinic’s comprehensive multi-specialty assets and care sites. Financial terms weren’t disclosed. 

Bond Clinic was founded in Winter Haven by Dr. Benjamin Bond in 1948, according to its website, which adds it was one the first businesses founded in the central-south Polk city. “We are excited to welcome the providers and team members of Bond Clinic to the AdventHealth network,” AdventHealth Medical Group West Florida Division President and CEO Jennifer Snider says in the release. “Bond Clinic has a 75-year legacy of personalized, community-based care. Together, we will continue to provide exceptional care to Polk County.”
