Embarc Collective, a Tampa-based startup hub, announced Tuesday morning that it is launching a Corporate Partnership Program.

The first corporate partner is the Tampa based $3.4 billion cybersecurity firm Reliaquest.

Embarc’s focus has been on fostering entrepreneurship since its 2019 founding and the goal of the new partnership is to connect its members with corporations, universities, and investors in their industries of focus on regional and national levels.

“We have one common goal across everything we do at Embarc Collective: to engage, support and propel forward-thinking startup builders who are leveraging technology to solve some of the world’s most pressing problems plaguing businesses and industries — the same industries that our startups are trying to thrive in,” says Tim Holcomb, CEO of Embarc Collective in a statement. “With the Corporate Partnership Program, we’re creating a model where corporations can collaborate with startups to solve shared industry problems and unlock long-term value — on both sides of the table.”

Brian Murphy, Reliaquest's CEO and founder, is currently the chair of the board of directors at Embarc and part of its Founders Circle. He says "some of the best entrepreneurs in the world work for other companies. "

"This new corporate partnership program will help drive that kind of entrepreneurial mindset within any forward-thinking organization, while supporting the next great founder-led companies within Embarc’s membership."

Embarc Collective is a peer community of almost 300 founders and co-founders of 135-plus early-stage tech startups and growth companies. Embarc member-companies have achieved a 96% survival rate, created over 1,200 jobs and raised more than $600 million in angel, venture and growth equity, according to the firm.
