St. Petersburg manufacturing and engineering firm Jabil announced Monday the appointment of a new board member. Sujatha “Suja” Chandrasekaran is joining the board of directors, which is composed of nine other members and eleven executive officers.
Chandrasekaran has worked for a slew of industries including health care, retail, consumer, supply chain and manufacturing with revenue ranging from $3 billion to $500 billion, according to a statement from Jabil.
Her most recent role was senior executive vice president and chief digital and information officer at Chicago-based CommonSpirit Health, the second-largest nonprofit hospital system in the U.S.
Her leadership appointments include the boards of American Eagle Outfitters, Brenntag SE, ATOS SE, Agendia and Pando.AI. She is also founder and a board director of the T200 Foundation, a nonprofit that caters to women in technology.
"With her extensive background in portfolio strategy, finance management, and technology, data and AI transformation, Suja has a unique perspective that we welcome to Jabil’s Board. Her insights will be invaluable as we continue executing on commitments to our shareholders, customers, and communities,” Jabil CEO Mike Dastoor says in the statement.
Jabil was founded in 1966 and relocated from Detroit to St.Pete in 1982. It is currently one of four Fortune 500 companies in St. Pete, alongside Raymond James, TD SYNNEX, and Foot Locker.
