The Community Foundation Tampa Bay, like many nonprofits on the Gulf Coast, has had its hands full this hurricane season. According to a statement from the foundation, over $3.3 million has been distributed to local nonprofits since Oct. 1. With that in mind, the organization has elected to expand its board by adding two members.
Joshua Bomstein, president of Creative Contractors in Clearwater, and Gregory C. Yadley, partner at law firm Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick in Tampa, will be joining the board of trustees in January, according to a statement.
“We’re grateful to have such distinguished professionals dedicate their time to volunteer on our board of trustees,” says Marlene Spalten, president and CEO of the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay in a statement. “Joshua and Gregory’s professional experience and personal interests will position them as valuable advocates of philanthropy as we help our community thrive.”
Bomstein serves on several other nonprofit boards, including the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce, Florida Holocaust Museum and Florida Wildlife Corridor Foundation, to name a few.
Yadley currently works on the foundation’s council of professional advisors and has served on multiple boards including Visit Tampa Bay, The Florida Orchestra and James Museum of Western and Wildlife Art.
The Community Foundation Tampa Bay was founded in 1990 and since that time has invested more than $382 million into local nonprofits, according to its website.
