A Fort Myers-based roofing and air conditioning company has expanded in the Sarasota-Manatee area.
Crowther Roofing and Cooling has moved from a 1-acre Lakewood Ranch location in Sarasota County to a 12.6-acre property in Manatee County that has enabled it to add staff and equipment. It also has room to expand.
“We are excited to embark on this new chapter in our company’s history,” CEO of Crowther Roofing and Cooling Lee S. Crowther says in a statement. “Our investment in this state-of-the-art facility reflects our dedication to serving our customers with the highest quality workmanship and personalized attention.”
Crowther sold its 6,0000-square-foot building off International Place in Lakewood Ranch for $1.75 million in September, according to the Sarasota County Property Appraiser. The old location is about 9 miles from the new site.
The company purchased its new 26,000-plus-square-foot building for $12.6 million at the end of July, according to the Manatee County Property Appraiser.
Staff completed the move in late September. The new facility offers both residential and commercial roofing services as well as HVAC.
With increased staff and additional equipment that Crowther did not have space for in its previous facility, company officials say they have streamlined processes and eliminated the drive time from Fort Myers.
Crowther Roofing — which was acquired earlier this year by Atlanta-based Roofing Corp of America — had $176.43 million in revenue in 2023.
